CALL TO ORDER
The Public Arts Advisory Board meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman Lynn Grimes.
Board members present included: Lynn Grimes, Brooke Lopez, Lauren Howard, and Michelle Pugh.
Board members Margaret Boyd, Lisa Green and Anita Jones were absent.
Staff present included: Carole Ehrlich, board liaison.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
• Overview regarding the Wylie Public Arts Advisory Board Guidelines and Bylaws.

Board/Staff Discussion
PAAB Chair Lynn Grimes and PAAB liaison Ehrlich reviewed the current guidelines for commissioning
art and the Public Art Board bylaws with board members. Grimes requested each board member
thoroughly read the guidelines which provide selection processes and other key elements of what the
board is commissioned to do. She also emphasized the mission statement.
• Update/Discussion regarding the 2015 Wylie Arts Festival (C. Ehrlich, PAAB
Liaison-Board)
Staff Update
Staff liaison Ehrlich reminded board members that it was time to solicit sponsors for the 2015 Wylie
Arts Festival. She explained that through sponsorship partners and vendor fees, the board is able to
acquire art for sites that do not allow for CIP funds. She noted each year the board tries to raise
enough in events funding to commission another piece of art for the community to enjoy.
She asked each member to contact businesses they were familiar with to acquire new sponsors.
Ehrlich reviewed a list of vendors that are currently approved for the event and noted staff had
received twenty five applications thus far.

Staff Update
Board liaison Ehrlich provided the invitation for the Public Safety Building Art Project and 9/11
Reflection. She reviewed the scheduling of speakers for the event Ehrlich reported the statues would
be delivered on the evening of September 9th and installed on September 10th to prepare for the
September 11th dedication at 9:30 a.m. at the Public Safety Building.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Consider and act upon the appointment of a WAF Vendor Review Committee for
2015.
Board Discussion
Chair Grimes explained to members that each year the board appoints a three member committee to
review the applications from vendors for the Wylie Arts Festival. Board members may volunteer for the
open positions. Meetings are held during the work day from time to time as scheduled by a majority of
the committee.
Lynn Grimes stated that she would be willing to serve if appointed. Lauren Howard and Michelle Pugh
also volunteered if appointed.
Board Action
A motion was made by board member Lopez, seconded by board member Howard to appoint Lynn
Grimes, Lauren Howard and Michelle Pugh to serve as the 2015 WAF Vendor Committee. A vote was
taken and the motion passed 4-0 with board members Green, Jones, and Boyd absent.
2. Consider and act upon approval of the Public Arts Advisory Board minutes from
the July 23, 2015 Regular meeting. (C. Ehrlich, PAAB Liaison)
Board Action
A motion was made by board member Howard, seconded by board member Pugh to approve the
PAAB minutes of July 23, 2015 as presented. A vote was taken and the motion passed 4-0 with
board members Green, Jones, and Boyd absent.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business before the board, a motion was made by board member Pugh, seconded by
board member Howard to adjourn the meeting at 7:38 p.m. A vote was taken and the tion passed 4-
0 with board members Green, Jones, and Boyd absent.
