04-10-1986 (Zoning Board of Adjustment) Minutes ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS MINUTES CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 1986 COMMUNITY ROOM, 800 THOMAS ST. The Zoning Board of Adjustments met in regular session on Thursday, April 10, 1986 in the Community Room at the Library. A quorum was present and notice of the meeting was posted in a time and manner required by law. Memebers present were as follows; Art Harris, Chairman, Garry Ludwig, Vice Chairman, N. C. Jefferies and Paul Gaddy, Alternate, Roy Faires, Code Enforcement Officer, Ruth Bennett, Secretary. The meeting was called to order by Art Harris, Chairman. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Harris ask if everyone had read the minutes Garry Ludwig made a motion to approve them and Paul Gaddy second it. All were in favor. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE ON FRONT YARD SET BACK AT LOT 25, BLOCK BL RUSTIC OAKS III,., 506 OAK: Roy Faires said they had encrouched 5. 2" or 6 passed front building line and no more equipment than they have out there to measure with it makes it kind of hard to find curb line. The lender will not close without an official variance from the board. N. C. Jefferies made a motion to grant this variance and Garry Ludwig second it. All were in favor. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE REQUEST FROM THE REQUIREMENT THAT SALES OFFICE BE IN A MODEL HOME IN ORDER TO USE A TEMPORARY BUILDING AS A SALES OFFICE: Mr. Faires said that recently they had a builder attempt to put in an unslightly mobile home sales office in order to keep this from happening again we amended a section of the mobile home ordinance. Under unique circumstances where models were not needed they would be required to come before the board for a variance. This would be strictly custom homes no one looking at models they would be looking at unique custom homes. Mr. Faires goes on record as not opposed. Mr. Simmons says the trailer can be put on trailer when through and moved out. Art Harris said there were 1 letter mailed out and none returned so we have to assume that they were in favor. Mr. Simmons said he try would to build a real nice building and engineer it with tie downs to make it safe and build an attractive building. He ask if there were any limitation? Mr. Faires said yes there was a 2 year limitation. Mr. Simmons said he had no problem with that. Mr. Jefferies said in his opinion Mr. Simmons would not put anything in that was shabby. N. C. Jefferies made a motion to approve this varinace and Garry Ludwig second it. A11 were in favor. Garry Ludwig made the motion to adjourn and all were in favor. Art Harris, Chairman /7
