PRESENTATION FROM FRIENDS MEMBER
Alvie Bugbee, treasurer for the Friends group, reported a successful Greeting
Card Page fundraiser. They were very thankful for Dan's hard work and
dedication to the project. It would not have been a success without his hard
work. The Board was provided with minutes from the January 10 Friends
meeting which includes a list of future meeting dates.
1. Approval of the Minutes.
Minutes were approved as read from the November 12, 2001.
2. Discuss and Act Upon the Approval of the Public Computer Policy.
The policy was updated to meet current library procedures with the
library's computers. The board approved the minor changes unanimously.
3. Discuss Monthly and Quarterly Report.
The library had the highest monthly circulation for December in 2001.
Other statistics continue to increase too. The statistics looked great for
Quarter One of FY 2002. The most successful events were the Santa
Photos and the Greeting Card Page.
4. Discuss Direct Aid Funding.
A copy of the Direct Aid budget was included in the library board packets.
The budget was submitted several days before the January 15 deadline.
Funding will be used to purchase the learn-a-test.com database, publish a
brochure on the library's databases, and purchase Spanish-English
dictionaries to distribute at Cinco De Mayo. The board was pleased with
the decisions for funding.
