Grace Morrison called the meeting to order.
Those present: Grace Morrison, David James, Junaid Najamuddin, Kelli Bolton,
Shirley Burnett, Joe Murphy, Sandra Williams

Minutes were read and approved.
Rachel asked that the Circulation Policy be tabled for next month. Rachel said
that a staff member is reviewing the letters sent to court and comparing what has
been returned she will give us a reconciliation of those patrons who have returned
items. A claims returned statement has been added to the policy as well.
Rachel passed out a draft of the Literature Display Policy. Questions to be
addressed: the thirty days in advance clause; League of Women Voter's Guide
omission; add consumer health information from organizations such as the
American Heart Association.
The Collection Development Policy was passed out. Changes will be made to the
Young Adult and Video Collection sections to be more in line with Library
practices. The policy was passed out for the Library Board to read.
STAFF REPORTS
Rachel thanked David and Shirley for attending the Council Meeting for the
National Library Week Proclamation.
A part-time clerk has been hired with the extra hours from this budget year. A
temporary will be hired while Phyllis is out.
All programs have been booked for Summer Reading Club.
