300 Country Club Road, Bldg. 100
Members of the 2016 Thoroughfare CIP Art Projects Selection Committee met to review and
recommend artists for Sites 1, 2 and 3 to move to the semi-final list. The sites are located at each end
of the walking trails on the Municipal Center grounds and the third located at the Disc Golf Park on East

The selection committee determined it was best to ask the same artist to propose for Site #1 and Site
#2 to keep the two sites relatable. There were 34 artists recommended by the Pare-Down Committee.
The selection committee viewed all submissions narrowing the group to four artists for Sites 1 and 2
and three artists for Site 3. The semi-finalists included: Sites 1 and 2, Michael Clapper, Jim Gallucci,
Michael Szabo, and Tom Litka Studio. The semi-finalists for Site 3 included: John Davis, Adrian Litman
and Howard Kalish. These artists will be invited to the City to view the art locations and attend a
Community Input meeting to be held in the Municipal Complex, City Council Chambers on June 27tn
Selection Committee members included: City Manager Mindy Manson, Margaret Robinette, PAAB
Chair Lynn Grimes, Kathy Spillyards, Shohn Rodgers, John Pototschnik, and Shirley Burnett.
