RESOLUTION NO. 2005-17(R)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, CREATING THE
POSITION OF CHILDREN'S LIBRARIAN, ABOLISHING THE POSITION
OF CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has found that the position of Children's Programming
Coordinator needs to be upgraded to Children's Librarian and the change will be effective April 12, 2005.
WHEREAS, this new position is warranted by the need of a skilled professional in this
department; and
WHEREAS, the newly created Children's Librarian position includes professional duties which
are needed to meet public demand and to fulfill the day to day operations of this department; and
WHEREAS, the Library Director has reviewed the job description of said newly created position
and is satisfied with the professional duties as outlined.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF WYLIE THAT:
SECTION 1. The Children's Programming Coordinator position is hereby abolished.
SECTION 2. ESTABLISHMENT.
2.01 The Children's Librarian position is hereby created.
2.02 The Children's Librarian will have a pay grade of26E.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption.

TEXAS on this 12th day of April, 2005.
