ACTION ITEMS
The Library Board Minutes of Monday, April 10, 2017 were approved with one minor revision as
discussed.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
The Privacy Policy had been sent back to the City Attorney for final review and clarification. As a result,
the following revisions were made to the document:
• The USA Freedom Act replaced the USA Patriot Act.
• Wording about posting photographs was removed because nothing could be located through the
Attorney Generals' office. Rachel will get back with the City Attorney for further clarification
regarding group photographs. When individual photographs are taken the parents are consulted
before the photographs are used.
• Language regarding items on hold will be left the same.
• Overdue notifications are sent out by phone call, email or mail depending on patron's choice at
the time they are issued their library card and when their card is renewed. Long overdue
reminders are sent by mail.
The Board unanimously approved the Privacy Policy with all revisions as discussed.
