Board members reviewed and discussed a final copy of the budget. Review County Budget for FY 19: The County approved the funds requested by the 5 libraries who participated in last month's county budget meeting presentation. However, the funds were split between the'5 libraries based on the number of unincorporated people served (rather than an even split). Smith Public Library received $6,800 this year in county funds, as we have 8% of unincorporated people served. Rachel advised that due to the amount of county funding this has cut from our budget, we are considering eliminating library holds and interlibrary loan services for non-residents. Currently almost half of our holds services are used by non-residents, and we could re-allocate that work load by current staff to other programs within the library.
