Members of the audience are requested to step outside the Conference Room to respond to a page or to conduct a phone conversation. The Smith Public Library is wheelchair accessible. PRESENTATION Rachel introduced guest observer, Ofilia Barrera, Youth Services Supervisor for the Smith Public Library. Rachel introduced the guest presenter for the meeting, Melissa Beard, Finance Director for the City of Wylie. Melissa provided the Board with a presentation overview of the current and long-range financial budget plans for the City of Wylie. ACTION ITEMS The Library Board Minutes of Monday, February 11, 2019 were approved as presented. REGULAR AGENDA—DISCUSSION ITEMS 1. This is a self-directed activity. One prize per day per child while supplies last. Tween Spring Break 2019—Give Bees a Chance: Wednesday, March 13a'from 2:00-3:00pm For 4th-6th graders only. Discover what makes bees extra special and plant a seed in a water bottle container you decorate yourself. Weather permitting, we will be planting in the library garden, so be sure to dress appropriately. March Manga Madness Art Contest For 4th-12"' graders! Submit your original artwork in the Teen Room between March 18-23 in the 4`h-8`'' grade category or the 9`n 12`n grade category. Voting runs March 25-30.All patrons may vote only once that week. Teen Teen Spring Break 2019 Program—K-Pop Prom: Thursday, March 14a from 3:00-4:30pm For 6"'-12"' graders only. Do you secretly do all the BTS routines in your bedroom?Already have your tickets for Blackpink's world tour?Then you need to get your most glam and attend our spring break K- Pop Prom! We will be making crowns and sashes so we can all be Prom Kings and Queens. Then we'll learn the latest K-Pop routines with David and Chantha from K-Pop Dance Dallas! This come and go event is in the Multipurpose Room and is for teens in 6°i-12`''grades only. Fancy dress optional!
