A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, HEREBY
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF WATCH GUARD INC. IN -CAR SYSTEMS, BODY
CAMERAS AND OTHER ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$470,572.48 THROUGH A PURCHASE AND FINANCE AGREEMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF WYLIE TO EXECUTE ANY
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Wylie has a need to purchase in -car systems, body cameras and
other associated equipment in the total amount of $470,572.48; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wylie desires to finance the amount of $384,243.00 for a period
of five (5) years through Finance Contract No. 5887 with Government Capital Corporation for the
purposes of financing the purchase of WatchGuard Inc. hardware and software; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wylie desires to designate this Finance Contract as a qualified
tax exempt obligation of the City for the purposes of Section 265 (b)(3) of the Internal Revenue
Code of 1986, as amended;
WHEREAS, That should the need arise, if applicable, the City will use the proceeds of
Finance Contract No. 8857 for reimbursement of expenditures related to the Property, within the
meaning of Treasury Regulation *1.150-2, of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager of the City of Wylie, Texas is hereby authorized to
execute on behalf of the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas, Finance Contract No. 8857 and
any related necessary documents, as a qualified tax exempt obligation.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas on
