AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUND-
ARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS ~ AND GRANTING TO SAID
TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL
OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID
FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID
CITY.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and
acknowledged by each and every person or corporation having an interest
in the following described territory, to wit:
All that tract of land situated in Collin County, Texas, being a
part of a 57.81 acre tract out of the E. C. Davidson Survey, Abstract
No. 266 conveyed to J. R. Eaves by Agnes M. Eaves by deed recorded in
Volume 555 Page 339 of the Deed Records of Collin County, Texas, said
tract more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING 526.37' S 870 17' E of the NW corner of said 57.81
acre tract in the South line of Farm Road No. 544~
THENCE S 870 17' E along the North line of the 57.81 acre tract
and the South line of Farm Road No. 544 a distance of 440.111 to
corner, the same being the NW corner of a 1 acre tract~
THENCE S 40 02' W along fence and the West line of 1 acre tract
a distance of 435.60' to corner~
THENCE S 870 17' E along fence and the South line of the 1 acre
tract a distance of 100.00' to corner in the East line of the 57.81
acre tract~
THENCE S 30 381 W along fence and the East line of the 57.81
acre a distance of 1255.401 to corner, the same being the SE corner
of the 57.81 acre tract~
THENCE N 860 261 W along fence and the South line of the 57.81
acre a distance of 1861.001 to corner the same being the SW corner of
the 57.81 acre tract~
THENCE N 40 0011 E along fence and the West line of the 57.81 acre
tract a distance of 469.00' to corner, the same being the SW corner
of a 2.354 acre tract owned by the Texas Power & Light Co.~
THENCE N 500 58' E along line of the 2.354 acre tract a distance
of 648.16' to corner in the line of the 57.81 acre tract~
THENCE S 870 09' E along the line of the 57.81 acre tract a
distance of 325.37' to inner corner of the 57.81 acre tract~
THENCE N 30 06' E along the most Easterly West line of the 57.81
acre tract and fence a distance of 286.80' to corner, the same being
the SW corner of a 1.931 acre tract owned by the Texas Power & Light
Co. ~
THENCE N 500 44 E along the line of the 1.931 acre tract a
distance of 712.39' to the place of beginning and containing a total
of 51.347 acres of land.
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the
City of Wylie, Texas and is not more than one-half (~) mile in width,
and
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the
26th day of September, 1972, such date being not less than 5 and not
more than 30 days from the date hereof, and
WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and
against the same the City Council has voted to grant such petition
and to annex said territory to the City of Wylie, Texas~
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City
of Wylie, Texas:
That the following described territory, to wit:

THENCE N 500 58' E along line of the 2.354 acre tract a distance
of 648.16' to corner in the line of the 57.81 acre tract~
THENCE S 870 09' E along the line of the 57.81 acre tract a
distance of 325.371 to inner corner of the 57.81 acre tract~
THENCE N 30 06' E along the most Easterly West line of the
57.81 acre tract and fence a distance of 286.80' to corner, the same
being the SW corner of a 1.931 acre tract owned by the Texas Power
& Light Co. ~
THENCE N 500 44 E along the line of the 1.931 acre tract a
distance of 712.39' to the place of beginning and containing a total
of 51.347 acres of land
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Wylie, Collin
County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie,
Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above
described territory within the city limits of the City of Wylie,
Texas, and the same shall hereafter be included within the territorial
limits of said city, and said land and the future inhabitants
thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges
of other citizens of the City of Wylie, Texas and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said city.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the County
Clerk of Collin County, Texas a certified copy of this Ordinance.
