Ordinance 1975-02 ORDINANCE NO. /~- 2. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS MAKING IT UNLAWFUL AND A NUISANCE TO LEAVE, PARK OR STAND FOR A PERIOD LONGER THAN SEVEN DAYS IN ANY FRONT, SIDE OR REAR YARD OF ANY LOT OR TRACT OF LAND IN THE CITY, ANY MOTOR VEHICLE OR APPLIANCE WHICH IS IN A CONDITION SUCH AS TO MAKE IT INCAPABLE OF BEING DRIVEN OR OPERATED, INCLUDING ANY MOTOR VEHICLES WHICH FAIL TO DISPLAY A CURRENT MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTION STICKER OR CURRENT LICENSE PLATE OR WHICH MAY HAVE ONE OR MORE FLAT TIRES~ PROVID- ING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS (200.00) FOR EACH OFFENSE~ AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE' CrTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful and a nuisance for any person to leave, park or stand for a period longer than seven (7) days in any front, side or rear yard of any lot or tract of land in the City, any motor vehicle or any refrigerator, clothes washer or dryer or house hold appliance of similiar nature, herein after refered to as appliance, which is in a condition such as to make it incapable of being driven or operated, unless such vehicle or appliance is screened from view by the public by a solid wall or fence at least six (6) feet in height. SECTION 2. The terms -incapable of being driven or operated" as used herein shall include, but not be limited to, any motor vehicle which fails to display a current motor vehicle inspection sticker or current valid license plate or which has one or more flat tires. SECTION 3. That any person violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction in the Corporation Court shall be subject to a fine not to exceed the I sum of Two Hundred Dollars (200.00) for each offense. SECTION 4. The fact that the present ordinances of the City regulating the parking of motor vehicles and storage of appliances on private property are inadequate creates an urgency and an emergency and in the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare requires that this ordinance shall take effect in thirty (30) days after publication of the caption~ as the law and charter in such cases provides.
