ORDINANCE NO. 76-6
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE
70-12, ESTABLISHING WATER AND SEWER RATES: PROVIDING FOR A
PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($ 200.00) FOR EACH
OFFENSE: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
Section 1. Section one of Ordinance 70-12 is hereby repealed
and the following monthly rates are hereby
established and shall be collected for water services
furnished by the City to residents located wi thin
the corporate limits of the City of Wylie, Texas:
First 1,000 gallons $4.50
(Minimum monthly charge)
Next 1,000 gallons 2.00 per 1,000 gallons
Next 4,000 gallons 0.90 per 1,000 gallons
Next 4,000 gallons 0.75 per 1,000 gallons
Next 40,000 gallons 0.60 per 1,000 gallons
Allover 50,000 gallons 0.50 per 1,000 gallons
Section 2. Section three of Ordinance 70-12 is hereby repealed
and the follwoing monthly rates are hereby estab-
lished and shall be collected for sanitary sewer
services furnished by the City of Wylie, Texas:
(a) Single Family residence
Based on water usage:
o - 1,000 gallons
1001 - 2,000 gallons
2001 - 3,000 gallons
over 3,000 gallons

Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of
the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction in the
municipal court shall be subject to a fine not
to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each
offense, and each and every day any such violation
sBall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4. The fact that water and sewer rates charged by
the city need to be adjusted creates an urgency
and an emergency and in the preservation of public
health, safety and welfare requires that hhis
ordinance shall take effect immediately from
and after its passage and the publication of the
caption, as the law in such cases provides.
