ORDINANCE #79-13
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #79-12, SECTION 3.
ESTABLISHING
SEWER RATES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR EACH OFFENSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
AS AMENDED
SECTION 3.
The following monthly rates are hereby established and
shall be collected for sanitary sewer services:
RESIDENTIAL-SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS ON ONE METER
First 2,000 gallons $4.80
(Minimum monthly charge)
Next 4,000 gallons 1.30 per 1,000 gallons
Next 1,000 gallons .85 per 1,000 gallons
Above 7,000 gallons no charge
DUPLEX OR HOUSE WITH ONE APARTMENT $13.00 Flat Fee
MOBILE HOME PARKS AND APARTMENTS

COMMERCIAL, LIGHT INDUSTRIAL, HEAVY INDUSTRIAL,
SCHOOLS, & CHURCHES
First 5,000 gallons
(Minimum monthly charge)

.55 per 1,000 gallons
Sanitary sewer charges are based on volume of water consumed. Any
Consumer who is using water in process, but not discharging the
same into the sanitary sewers may wish to install flow meters to
determine return flow at the owner's expense and in compliance
with the requirements set forth by Public Works Director and/or
City Engineers.
Maintenance and guarantee of accurate reading is
also at the consumer's expense.
SECTION 2.
The following monthly rates are hereby established and
shall be collected for water services furnished by the City to
persons located and situated outside the corporate limits of the
City of Wylie, Texas:
First 2,000 gallons
(Minimum monthly charge) $9.67
Next 4,000 gallons 2.62 per 1,000 gallons
Next 4,000 gallons 2.10 per 1,000 gallons
Over 10,000 gallons 1. 35 per 1,000 gallons
Any person, firm or corporation not complying with the provisions
of this Ordinance shall not receive water service from the City
of Wylie, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof, shall be punished by a fine in any amount not to exceed
two hundred ($200.00) dollars for each and every violation.
SECTION 12.
The fact that water and sewer rates charged by the
City needs to be adjusted creates an urgency and an emergency and
in the preservation of public health, safety and welfare requires
that this Ordinance shall take effect immediately, and will be
reflected in the utility service bills dated 1st day of June,
1979, and after its passage and the publication of the caption,
as the law in such cases provides.
