Ordinance 1979-14 ~',) r,: VOL 1183fAGE 356 ORDINANCE # 79-14 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TIIE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNfY, TEXAS, AT\ID EXTENDING TIIE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL PRESENT AND RITURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF TIIE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID PRESENT AJ'ID RITURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF TIIE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE SAID CITY. WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation having an interest in the following described territory, to wit: TRACT I BEING a tract of land situated in Collin County, Texas, being a part of a 6.327 acre tract out of the James Truett Survey, Abstract #920, conveyed to Orville Kreymer by J. C. Kreymer, Archie Kreymer, Clifton Kreymer and Billy Kreymer by deed recorded in Volume 949, Page 634 of the Collin County Deed Records, said tract more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at the NW corner of the said 6.327 acre tract in the junction of the South line of Farm Roac #2514 with the center of County Road: 'fHEl\JCE South 2000' East along the East line of Farm Road #2514 a distance of 304.00' to corner, the same being the Southwest corner of the 6.327 acre tract; THENCE North 85015' East along the South line of the 6.237 tract and center- line of steel towers on electric line a distance of 141.22' to corner; THENCE North a distance of 292.12' to corner in North line of 6.327 acre tract and center of County Road; THENCE West along North line of 6.327 acre tract and center of County Road a distance of 151.35' to the place of beginning and containing a total of 1,000 acres of land. C. Loughlin and Elsie Loughlin by deed filed June 8, 1931 and recorded in Volume 284 more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the 1/2" iron rod on the East right of way line of Old Highway # 78 from whence the Northwest corner of said 40 acre tract bears North 00009' West a distance of 359. 23 feet and South 89051' West a distance of 30.0 feet; TrlliNCE South 00009' East with said right of way line a distance of 145.2 feet to a 1/2" iron rod for corner; VOL 1183rAGE 357 THENCE North 89051' East a distance of 150.0 feet to a 1/2" iron rod for corner; THENCE North 00009' West a distance of 145.2 feet to a 1/2" lron rod for corner; THENCE South 89051' West a distance of 150.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING AND CONTAINING 0.50 acres of land. WHEREAS, said tracts of land are contiguous and adjacent to the City of Wylie, Texas and is not more than (!z) mile in width, and; WHEREAS, after conducting a public hearing in the manner required by law and hearing the arguments for and against the same, the City Council has voted to annex said territory to the City of Wylie, Texas. Loughlin and Elsie Loughlin by deed filed June 8, 1931 and recorded in Voulume 284, Page 93 of the Deed Records of Collin County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the !z" iron rod on the East right of way line of Old Highway #78 from whence the Northwest corner of said 40 acre tract bears North 00009' West a distance of 354.43 feet and South 89051' West a distance of 30.0 feet; THENCE South 00009' East with said right of way line a distance of 150.0 feet to a !z" iron rod for corner; THENCE North 89051' East a distance of 145.2 feet to a !z" iron rod for corner; THENCE North 00009' West a distance of 150.00 feet to a !z" iron rod for corner; THENCE South 89051' West a distance of 145.2 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING AND CONTAINING 0.50 acres of land. be and the same are hereby annexed to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory within the City limits of the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, and the same shall hereafter be included within the territorial limits of said City and said land and they present and future inhabitiants there of shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City. The City Secretary is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk of Collin County, Texas a certified copy of this ordinance.
