ORDINANCE # 78-4
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCES #70-12
AND #76-6. SECTION 1: WATER RATES: PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The following monthly rates are hereby established and
shall be collected for Water Service furnished by the City to resi-
dents located within the corporate limits of the City of Wylie, Texas:
First 1,000 gallons
(Minimum monthly charge)
Next 1,000 gallons
Next 4,000 gallons
Next 4,000 gallons
Allover 10,000 gallons

2.00 per 1,000 gallons
.90 per 1,000 gallons
.75 per 1,000 gallons
.60 per 1,000 gallons
SECTION 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction in the municipal court shall be subject to a fine
not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense, and
each and every day any such violation shall continue shall constitute
a seperate offense.
SECTION 3: The fact that water rates charged by the City need to be
adjusted creates an urgency and an emergency and in the preservation
of public health, safety and welfare requires that this ordinance
shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and the pub-
lication of the ordinance.
