Ordinance 1978-24 ORDINANCE NO. 78-24 (Amending 78-17) Article I. Designation of One-Way street. The 100 block of West Marble is designated as One-Way in the direction of East. The Traffic Engineer is empowered to cause to be installed traffic control devices in accordance with Ordinance 78-17, Article IV, Section 1. Article II. Designation of One-Way Alley. The alley transversing South to North between the 100 block of West Marble and West Jefferson is designated as One-Way in the direction of North. The Traffic Engineer is empowered to cause to be installed traffic control devices in accordance with Ordinance 78-17, Article IV, Section 1. ORDINANCE # 78-24 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #78-17 (Traffic, Both Vehicular and Pederstrian) ARTICLE IV SECTION 16; DESIGNATING THE 100 BLOCK OF WEST MARBLE, ONE-WAY TO THE EAST; DESIGNATING THE ALLEY BETWEEN THE 100 BLOCK OF WEST MARBLE AND OF WEST JEFFERSON, ONE- WAY TO THE NORTH; PENALTY AND SEVERABILITY; DELARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, in order to ensure to the people the maXlmum use and benefits of the public streets of the City and yet retaing the maximum degree of safety to prevent injury to persons and property, it is deemed necessary to prescribe regulations controlling both vehicular and pederstrian traffic; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS: Article I. Designation of One-Way Street. The 100 Block of West Marble is designated as One-Way ln the direction of East. The Traffic Engineer is empowered to cause to be installed traffic control devices in accordance with Ordinance #78-17, Article IV, Section 1. Article II. Designation of One-Way Alley The alley transversing South to North between the 100 block of West Marble and West Jefferson is designated as One- Way in the direction of North. The Traffic Engineer is em- powered to cause to be installed traffic control devices in accordance with Ordinance #78-17, Article IV, Section 1. Article III Penality and Severability. Section 1. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of not more than two hundred dollars ($200). Section 2. Severability: Same as Ordinance #78-17, Article IX, Seciton 2. Article IV Declaring an Emergency. The fact that there are no adequate controls creates a hazard and endangers the health, safety, and welfare of the City of Wylie, it is hereby declared to be an emergency and this Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage hereof, and installation of such traffic control divices.
