AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #12-3 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE
#75-11 & ORDINANCE #77-7. SECTION l4a. SECTION l4b. SECTION l8b,
PRESCRIBING GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL RATES IN AND FOR THE
CITY OF WYLIE. TEXAS; REGULATING GARBAGE DISPOSAL BY COMMERCIAL
USERS OF THE CITY LANDFILL; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY: AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH:
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND EFFECTIVE DATE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF wYLIE:
SECTION 1. Rates. Ea~ preaises within the corporate limits of
the City of Wylie served from the publiC water supplY shall be
charged for garhage and trash collection and removal; except,
those in commercial class IV or special rates clasS as set by
the City Sanitarian, at the following prescribed rates.
a. The fee for collection of refuse from residential
premises. churches, lodges. mohile homes (per trailer).
apartments (per unit). and duplexes (per unit). shall
be $.3,00 _per month,
b. commercial Rates. Each commercial premises shall be
charged according to the class as determined by the
City Sanitarian and the number of receptacles based on
the following rate schedule:
Number of Receptacles @ 5 collectiOns/wk.
commercial Class I (1- 4) $ 8.50/mo.
commercial ClasS 11 (5 - 8) $ 17. oolmo.
commercial Class 1 n (9 -12) $ 25. SO Imo.
commercial Class IV & Special $ 25.50/mo. min.
or variable as determined by the City Sanitarian
and City Manager,
SECTION 2. Rates. Use of the City Landfill by private persons,
firms, or corporations:
SECTION 18b of Ordinance #72-3 1S hereby repealed.
Each commercial user of the Landfill will he required to obtain
Landfill dumping permits each month to record their usage for
the month or pay the fee's required in Section l8c of Ordinance
#72-3 as amended.
Landfill fee's for commercial users will be billed once a month
with bills due within 10 days of date of statement. Payments
made after tbe due date will bear a penalty of 10% of groSS
amount. commercial Class IV or Special will be billed minimum
as stated 1n Section lb on water bill and additional usage will
be billed at end of month.
SECTION 3. Penalties For Violation. Same as Ordinance #72-3
Section 19.
SECTION 4. Repealing Clause. Same as Ordinance #72-3 Section 21.
SECTION S. Declaring an emergency. Tbe fact that tbe collection
and disposal of trasb, garbage, and rubbish is essential to the
public health, safety, and welfare creates an emergency and
requires that this Ordinance take effect on the 21st day of
September, 1978.
