ORDINANCE # 81-9
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF WYLIE, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF SAID CITY, GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL PRESENT
AND FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID PRESENT AND FUTURE
INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed and
acknowledged by the owners of the hereinafter described property
requesting annexation to the City of Wylie, Texas, to wit:
BEING a part of a 2.573 acre tract out of the E. C.
DAVIDSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 266, conveyed to Robert Leamon
Reynolds by Jick Housewright and Earl Parsons by Deed re-
corded in Volume 573, Page 533 of the Collin County Deed
Records, said tract more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of the said 2.573
acre tract in the South line of Farm Road No. 544;
THENCE South 2 deg. 35 min. West along the West line
of the 2.573 acre tract a distance of 521.96 feet to corner
in the Northwest R.O.W. line of Texas Power and Light Co.
Transmission line;
THENCE North 51 deg. 32 min. East along the Texas
Power and Light Co. R.O.W. and South line of the 2.573 acre
tract a distance of 126.00 feet to corner;
THENCE North 2 deg. 44 min. East a distance of 440.00
feet to corner in the South line of Farm Road No. 544 and
North line of 2.573 acre tract;
THENCE North 87 deg. 17 min. West along the North line
of 2.573 acre tract and South line of Farm Road NO. 544 a
distance of 95.00 feet to corner, the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing 1.042 acres of land, more or less.
Together with a 1975 Manatee Mobile Home thereon, having
identification no. 2057036192.
WHEREAS, after conducting a public hearing in the manner pre-
scribed by law and hearing the arguments for and against the same,
the City Council has voted to annex said territory to the City of
Wylie, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WYLI E, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described property, to wit:
BEING a part of 2.573 acre tract out of the E. C.
DAVIDSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 266, conveyed to Robert Leamon
Reynolds by Jick Housewright and Earl Parsons by Deed re-
corded in Volume 573, Page 533 of the Collin County Deed
Records, said tract more fully descri bed as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of the said 2.573
acre tract in the South line of Farm Road No. 544;
THENCE South 2 deg. 35 min. West along the West line
of the 2.573 acre tract a distance of 521.96 feet to corner
in the Northwest R.O.W. line of Texas Power and Light Co.
Transmission line;
THENCE North 51 deg. 32 min. East along the Texas
Power and Light Co. R.O.W. and South line of the 2.573 acre
tract a distance of 126.00 feet to corner;
THENCE North 2 deg. 44 min. East a distance of 440.00
feet to corner in the South line of Farm Road No. 544 and
North line of 2.573 acre tract;
THENCE North 87 deg. 17 min. West along the North
line of 2.574 acre tract and South line of Farm Road No. 544
a distance of 95.00 feet to corner, the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing 1.042 acres of land, more or less.
Together with a 1975 Manatee Mobile Home thereon, having
identification no. 2057036192.
All of the contiguous land above described, containing a total
of 1.042 acres of land, is adjacent to the present City limits
of the City of Wylie insofar as the tract fronts upon FM544 West.
Upon its annexation to the City of Wylie, Texas, the new City
limits shall be described by metes and bounds as follows:
commencing at the current City limit located on the south right-
of-way line of FM544 West at its intersection with the north-
west corner of the said 2.573 acre tract situated along the
south side of FM544;
THENCE South 2 deg. 35 min. West along the west line of
the said 2.573 acre tract a distance of 521.96 feet to the
southwest corner of this tract in the northwest right-of-way
line of Texas Power and Light Co. Transmission line;
THENCE North 51 deg. 32 min. East along the Texas Power
and Light Co. right-of-way and the south line of the 2.573
acre tract a distance of 126 feet to the southwest corner of
this tract;
THENCE North 2 deg. 44 min. East a distance of 440 feet
to the intersection of the south line of Farm Road NO. 544,
this being the northeast corner of the said one acre tract to
be annexed, this being the intersection of the east line of
this property and the south line of FM544 which is also the
City limits of the City of Wylie; and the same tract of land
is hereby annexed to the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas
and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie, be and
the same are hereby extended to include the above described
territory within the City limits of the City of Wylie!
Collin County, Texas and the same shall hereafter be lncluded
within the territorial limits of said City and said land
and the present and future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter
be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens
of the City of Wylie, Collin County, Texas and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said City.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to file with the County
Clerk of Collin County, Texas a certified copy of this Ordinance.
