ORDINANCE NO. 83-5
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF WYLIE. COLLIN COUNTY. TEXAS. AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY
LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY
AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS
AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS
BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS. a petition for annexation has been duly signed and
acknowledged by each and every person or corporation having an
interest in the following described territory. to-wit:
All that tract of land situated in Collin County. Texas. being
all of the called 7.00 acres out of the W. D. Penny Survey.
Abstract No. 696. conveyed to Lucy Story by G. M. Story by
deed recorded in Volume 448. Page 167 of Collin County Deed
Records. said tract more fully described as follows:
Beginning 50.00' West of the SE corner of 80 acre tract and
called 7.00 acre tract in the West line of Farm Road No. 2514;
THENCE S 890 47' W along fence and South line of called 7 acre
tract a distance of 1255.50' to corner;
THENCE N 00 25' E along fence and West line of called 7 acre
tract a distance of 245.50' to corner;
THENCE N 890 51' E along the North line of the called 7 acre
tract a distance of 1253.30' to corner in the West line of
Farm Road No. 2514;
THENCE S 00 06' E along the West line of Farm Road No. 2514
a distance of 243.30' to the place of beginning and containing
a total of 7.038 acres of land.
WHEREAS. said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent to the
City of Wylie. Texas. and is not more than one-half (!) mile in width.
and
WHEREAS. after conducting public hearings in the manner prescribed
by law and hearing the arguments for and against the same. the City Council
has voted to annex said territory to the City of Wylie. Texas.
NOW. THEREFORE. be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Wylie. Texas:
That the following described property. to-wit:
All that tract of land situated in Collin County. Texas. being
all of the called 7.00 acres out of the W. D. Penny Survey.
Abstract No. 696. conveyed to Lucy Story by G. M. Story by deed
recorded in Volume 448. Page 167 of Collin County Deed Records.
said tract more fully described as follows:

tract a distance of 1253.50' to corner in the West line of Farm
Road No. 2514;
THENCE S 00 06' E along the West line of Farm Road No. 2514 a
distance of 243.30' to the place of beginning and containing a
total of 7.038 acres of land.

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Wylie. Collin County.
Texas. and that the boundary limits of the City of Wylie. Texas. be
and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory
within the City Limits of the City of Wylie. Texas. and the same shall
hereafter be included within the territorial limits of said city. and
said land and the future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled
to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of Wylie.
Texas. and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to file with the County Clerk
of Collin County. Texas. a certified copy of this ordinance.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the City Council.
