Resolution 2020-59' RESOLUTION NO.2020-59(R) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE RE -SALE OF BID -OFF TAX PROPERTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEXAS PROPERTY TAX CODE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO TAKE ANY AND ALL OTHER ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE SAME; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the property identified in Exhibit A (the "Property") is a parcel of real property which has previously been bid -off to taxing units pursuant to judgments and orders issued by the District Courts of Collin County; and WHEREAS, the City of Wylie, Texas (the "City") desires to purchase the Property for $0.00, which is less than the minimum amount required by Texas Property Tax Code Section 34.05; and WHEREAS, Texas Property Tax Code Section 34.05(i) provides that the Property may be sold by private sale for an amount less than the required minimum price with the consent of all of the taxing units participating in the tax sale, being the City, the Wylie Independent School District, Collin County and the Collin County Community College District; and ' WHEREAS, the Wylie Independent School District, Collin County, and the Collin County Community College District have consented to the sale of the Property to the City for $0.00 (the "Sale"); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The findings set forth above are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if fully set forth herein. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Wylie hereby consents to the Sale. SECTION 3. The City shall accept title to the Property upon final execution of the deed to the Property. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City all documents necessary to effectuate the transfer of title to the Property to the City and to take all other actions necessary to effectuate the same. SECTION 4. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage.
