AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 83-18A, REGULATING MOBILE HOME
PARKS, ADDING AN EXCEPTION PROVIDING ALTERNATE STRUCTURAL
REQUIREMENTS FOR STORAGE BUILDINGS NOT FOR USE BY THE OCCUPANTS
OF THE PARK; REPEALING CONFLICTING PORTIONS OF ALL OTHER
ORDINANCES; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wylie has adopted Ord. No. 83-18A, Regulating Mobife
Home Parks which currently appears, with amendments, as Chapter 3, Section 14 of the
Wylie City Code; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council realizes that the needs of its citizens are ever
changing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined in its legislative capacity that adoption
of such amendments furthers the best interest of the City; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WYLIE, TEXAS, as follows,
SECTION 1
Ord. No. 83-18a, be, and it hereby is, amended by adding an exception to Section
7.07, c.1., as follows:
c. Structural Requirements for Buildinas, no. 1:
"Service building shall be protected from damage by ordinary
uses and by decay, corrosion, termites and other destructive �
elements. Exterior portions shall be of moisture and weather-
proof materials and construction. Construetion must comply
with current Uniform Building Code as adopted by the City of
Wylie and causes of at least 75% masonry construction except
storage buildings not for occu�ant use which must have at
/east 75% mason� exteriors on any wa/l that faces a City
street,�..public riqht of way and any public area or reauired ooen
space in the park."
SECTION II
That Section 14.00 of Chapter 3 of the Wylie City Code being hereby amended and
repealed any conflicting provisions of Ordinance No.83-18A or other ordinance.
SECTION III
Should any paragraph, sentence, sub-division, clause, phrase or section of this
ordinance be adjudged or held to be unconstitutional, illegal or invalid the same shall not
affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any part or provision thereof, other than
the part or parts as declared to be invalid, illegal or unconstitutional.
_ SECTION IV
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from February 19, 1997 after its
adoption by the City Council and publication of its caption as the law and the City Charter
provide in such cases.
SECTION V
That all other ordinances and code provisions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency and all other provisions of the
Wylie City Code not in conflict herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION VI
The repeal of any ordinance, or parts thereof, by the enactment of this Ordinance,
shall not be construed as abandoning any action now pending under or by virtue of such
ordinance; nor shall it have effect of discontinuing, abating, modifying or altering any
penalty accruing or to accrue, nor as effecting any rights of the municipality under any
section or provisions of any ordinances at the time of passage of this ordinance.
