AN ORDINANCE OF TI-� CTI'Y OF WYLIE, TEXA.S, ABANDONING A PORTION OF �
STREET: PROVIDING THAT SUCH ABANDONMENT SHALL BE THE 1NTEREST �
IN WHICH TI� CITY MAY LEGALLY AND LAWFULLY ABANDON; PROVIDING
THAT SAID ORDINANCE SHALL CONSTITUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED THAT MAY
BE RECORDED WITH TI� COUNTY CLERK OF COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE:
WHEREAS, the property descnbed herein is a seventy foot (70') Right-of-Way (ROW) beginning
at the south ROW of Marble Street and endin� at the north ROW of Oak Street,
running 350.21 along Block 17, and containing a portion of First Street between
Block 17 and 18 of the Railroad Addition.
WHEREAS, the adjacent property owner, First Baptist Church of Wylie, Te�s, has requested that
the said portion of street be abandoned so that the City of Wylie might quitclaim the
properly to the current grantor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wylie has determined that the portion of street described herein in no
�° longer needed for public purposes, utilities or access;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TI� CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CTTY OF WYLIE,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1 That the portion of street descn'bed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto is no longer
needed or necessary for public purposes, utilities or access; and should be abandoned
in favor of the First Baptist Church of Wylie, Texas, adjacent property owner. The
portion of street abandoned herein is described as follows, to-wit:
That portion of the street shown on Exhibit "A": attached hereto and made a part
hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 2 That this abandonment ordinance shall constitute a Quitclaim deed in favor of the
First Baptist Church of Wylie, Texas, property owner, and a certified copy of the
same may be filed 'm the Deed Records of Collin County, Texas to indicate such
abandonment.
SECTION 3 The abandonment provided for herein shall e�rtend only to the public right, title and
interest which the City of Wylie, Texas may have in and to said street, and shall be
construed to e�rtend only to such interest that the governing body of the City of
,�-
Wylie, Texas, may legally and lawfully abandon.

SECTION 4 The fact that the above described portion of street is no longer needed or necessary
for public purposes, utilities or access; and that such portion of street should be
abandaned in favor of the adjacent property owner, creates an wgency and an
emergency in the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and requires
that this ardinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage, as the law
in such cases provided.
