Mural Discussion
PAAB Coordinator Ehrlich explained to the board that during the City Council meeting of February 23,
2021 the City Council and staff discussed the downtown mural project. Ehrlich reported that the property
owners had decided not to sign the lease agreement allowing the art to be placed there for a definitive period
of time. Due to the lease agreement failure the art could not be placed on the wall and would need to be
placed at another location. She reported the Council felt the walls downtown were not the appropriate place

for the design and preferred it be placed in another location. They stated that the vacant lot could be changed
to a permanent structure in the future which would hide the mural completely.

reported the City Attorney was revising the contract between the City and Quad C and she would present it
to the Council as soon as it became available along with a couple of options for the final design for Council
to review.
