Ordinance 2003-03 ORDINANCE NO. acP3 -03 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, AMENDING IN ITS ENTIRITY WYLIE'S SUBDMSION REGULA nONS, ORDINANCE NO. 93- 33 AS PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 29TH DAY OF JULY, 1993, TOGETHER WITH ALL AMENDMENTS THERETO; PROVIDING FORA PENALTY FORNTHE VIOLLATION OF TillS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR REPEALING, SAVING AND SEVERABILITY CLAUSES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF TillS ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLIICA TION OF THE CAPTIONS HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie desires to develop and maintain a healthy, safe and efficient community, including a quality living environment and viable economic opportunities; and WHEREAS, the sound regulation of land subdivision has been demonstrated as necessary to achieving such a community, and Section 212 of the Texas Local Government Code authorizes municipalities to adopt and administer rules governing subdivisions ofland within its jurisdiction in order to promote the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the municipality; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is advantageous and beneficial to the citizens of the City of Wylie to amend in its entirety Wylie's Subdivision Regulations Ordinance No. 93-33, passed and approved on July 29, 1993, together with all amendments thereto; and WHEREAS, the City has complied with all prerequisite notification and public hearings as required by Texas Law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS: SECTION 1 The findings set forth above are incorporated into the body of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein. SECTION 2 That the Subdivision Regulations of the City of Wylie, Ordinance No. 93 -3 3, together with all amendments thereto, is hereby amended in its entirety. SECTION 3 That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately from and after its adoption and publication as required by the City Charter and by law.
