10-19-1953 (City Council) Minutes CITY OF WYLIE
WYLIE, TEXAS
Oct. 19, 1953
The City Council of this City met in regular session on the above date with
all members of the council except alderman Groves being Present.
The minutes of the September meetin were read' and approved.
All Bills were ordered paid.
There was a lengthy dicqussion in regard to the Rabies scare around Wylie,
with the following action being taken. A motion was made by W.P. Poor and
seconed by R.S. Posey that the City empound any dogs that were found loose
or out of confinement, and that a fee of $5.00 will be charged to get the dog
out of lammxdx lamot pornd. The dogs that remain over thirty days will be
destroyed. Motion carried.
'cit. motion was made by A.D. Boyd and Second by C.W. Ta7 for that the City
purchase the necessary equiptment that the Fire Dept. needs to finish the
tbuck they are building. Motion Carried.
A motion was made by R.S. Posey and seconed b•- L .P. Poor that the City give
each active member that is in good standing with the fire department a credit
IT of $2.00 each month on his water bill. Motion Carried.
' The mayor with the approval of the council made the following appointments.
C.R. Hillis, C.Truett Smith, 011ie Addington, and D.W. Click were appointed to
serve on a committee t in regard to getting the Wylie City limits extended.
With no further business the council adjourned.
