How would you approach this project? Please include contact information.Keep letter to one 81/2 x 11 page am originally from Long Island,New York and feel a deep connection to the people and places destroyed on 9/11. My main initial idea is to create a reflecting pool;lined with 343 tiles. These tiles could have the names or likeness of each person lost. The 343 tiles will ; be permanently submerged under water. In the center of this pool will be waterjets, arranged in the general footprint of the Twin Towers.Water will stream from these jets to give an ephemeral likeness of the two towers as they stood before the attacks. The water jets will be on'timers and will turn off at the exact lime of day each tower fell. You will have the option to do this annually on 9/11,or every day. The water,in the shape of the Twin Towers, will be:lit from underneath so that the likeness can be discerned at night as well. I am always open to refinement and revision as your selection board sees fit. We want to create a sculpture that is similar in design by the artist Jan Hendrix. His work involves metal being CNC cut with a design that plays an integral part of the flow of the space it resides. This CNC cut design can be changed to tell the story of the 343 Firefighters that lost their lives.Overall composition of the sculpture can be designed in a linear or organic fashion to stand in contrast and cornplement the fire station's architecture. Here is a link to his website to better understand our design approach for the City of Wylie Fire Station#4. https://janhendrix.com.mx/2016/en/proyectosikiosko/ My team has worked for years in very similar design perirneters.I have a documented history of executing all public commissions as designed on or below budget and within the given time constraints of the project. The vast majority of my public creations are built to last in extreme conditions such as those that exist in Wylie Texas. 1Ne can effectively communicate and seamlessly work with project engineers, architects and city planning officials. Our site installations are also thoroughly planned and executed. We also have CNC plasma design and cutting, right here in our 6,200 square foot studio. All fabrication, welding, transportation and installation services are handled by me and my team, not a third party. We maintain control over our product, from start to finish These resources allow us to provide our clients a maximum return for the funds they are investing in a project,We take this role very seriously and feel this attention to detail makes us stand apart.Although I am a California resident,it would truly be an honor to be considered for this opportunity at any level.
