03-13-1962 (City Council) Minutes Minutes
The City Council met March 13, 1962. The meeting was called to
order by Mayor Parke r. All Council members were present: J. R.
Story, Mrs. John L. Bostic and Ed Collins. Minutes of the last
meeting were read and approved. All bills were read and motion
made by J. R. Story and seconded by Mrs. John L. Bostic to pay
all bills. Motion carried.
A public hearing on the proposed budget had been set for this
meeting. At this time the Mayor turned the meeting over to the
City Manager so he could explain in data ii the provisions in the
budget and answer any comment from the citizens present. Motion
made by Ed Collins and seconded by Mrs. John L. Bostic to adopt
the budget. Motion carried.
Truett Smith and Raymond Posey reported on the proposed zoning
plans. They found no objections with the plans and will furnish
a letter later.
Ordinance #62-it- For Driveway Pipe Sizes and Elevations, was
read and appr ved. Motion made by Mrs. John L. Bostic and
seconded by J. R. Story. Motion carried.
Ordinance #62-5: An Ordinance Providing for Joint Hearings of
the Zoning-Lission and City Council of the City of Wylie,
Texas. Motion made by J. R. Story and seconded by Ed Collins.
Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS: To fix corner at Kirby and Birmingham and to fix
a drain on S. Ballard St.
Notice is to be printed that there will be a hearing on March
30th 1962 at 7;30 PM at the Methodist Annex, on the proposed
zoning and Master plan for the City of Wylie.
With no further business the meeting adjourned.
