05-01-1962 (City Council) Minutes 4 MINUTES MAY 1, 1962 The City Council met at 700 Oclock at a special session on May 1, 1962, with all members present. The meeting was called to consider the following items: Item 1. Adoption of a Warrant Order. Item 2'. Set new date to receive bids on proposed improve- ment program. Mr. Medanich, met with the Council with a proposal Ordinance #62-?, setting forth terms and conditions for the issuing Warrants to cover the proposed _improvement program. After a thorough discussion, motion was made by Jack Bostic and seconded by Pat Onstot to adopt the Ordinance and set the date to receive bids on May 22nd, at 3:000tclock P. M. Motion carried. Alderman Jack Bostic made a motion that any rule requiring this Ordinance to be read at more than one meeting be suspended. This was seconded by Pat Onstot. Motion carried. Preliminary Plans for the proposed improvement program was prepared by Forrest and Cotton, consultant engineers. On ae motion made by Jack Bostic and seconded by Pat Onstot, it was agreed to pay Forrest and Cotton in full for their services. Motion carried. The amount to pay Forrest and Cotton isprovided 'ection 10 of the Warrant Order and reads as follows: That said Warrants herein provided for shall be executed and delivered by the Mayor, City Secretary and City Treasurer, upon resolution of the City Council, on statements rendered by the Engineers, which state- ments shall be duly audited, approved and allowed by the City Council prior to the delivery of said Warrants in payment there- of, said warrants to be so delivered as follows: WARRANT DENOMINA- MATURITY NAME OF CONTRACTOR NUMBERS TIONS DATES AMOUNT FORREST & COTTON, INC. 1 1225 May 1, 1963 $1,225 _ 2 and 3 $1000 May 1, 1964 2,000 HENNINGSON, IXTRHAM and 5 $1,000 May 1, 1965 $2,000 & RICHARDSON, INC. b and 7 $1,000 May 1, 1966 $2,000 A- resolution Authorizing Mayor to publish notice of City's in- tention to receive bids was read. Motion was made by J. H. Story and seconded by Jack Parker, that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried. Mr Miller with Henningson, Durham & Richardson presented the corrective Wylwood Estates Plat. This plat had been approved subject to the correction being made. Moti was made by J. It.
