05-22-1962 (City Council) Minutes t MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING May 22, 1962 3 P. M. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 3 P. M. All members were present except Carl Ward. On a motion made by J. R. Storey and seconded by Jack Bostic, a special meeting was set for Tuesday, May 29th, 6 P.M. to award a contract. Motion carried. Informal bids were also received to clean the main drainage ditch between South Ballard and F. M. 544 and were as follows : Name Town Total Bid L. M. Coyle Greenville 589.00 C. A. Daniel Garland 864.00 Ellenburg Bros. Wylie 576.00 Chambers Bros. Garland 648.00 On a motion by J. R. Storey and seconded by Pat Onstot a contract was awarded the Ellenburg Bros. , lowest bid, and work to begin as soon as the right of way is cleared and staked. Motion carried. Item 1. Water main extension in the Manager' s report was reviewed and it was decided to table this proposal until future development was assured. Item 5. Plumbing ordinance was favored by the Council and the Manager will have copies of proposed ready for consideration in the near future. Item 7. on garbage disposal was discussed and referred to the next meeting. THERE being no urther business the meeting adjourned at 4: 30 P.M. a. 0 L-f2 City Secretary
