MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 9, 1962
The City Council met at 7:00 P. Y. , October 9, 1962
with all members present. The meeting was called to
order by the Mayor. The minutes of the last regular
meeting and also the special meeting on the proposed
zoning of the City were read and approved on a motion
made by J. R. Storey and seconded by Pat Onstot.
Mr. Chalkley and the Jim Celdwells met with the Coun-
cil in reference to annexing the Caldwell Estates. Mr.
Chalkley was asked by the Council to write a letter to
the Council to have the Caldwell Estates annexed and
tc have the metes and bounds made. A letter from the
Manning Commission giving their approval of the Cald-
well Estates being annexed was read. The Council told
Mr. Chalkley to go ahead with plans and that there
would be no objections from the Council if their plans
met with the City Engineers specifications. The Council
will meet Tuesday October 16, 1962 to annex the property.
Melvin Ellis met with the Council to see about getting
a ditch opened on College and Jackson Street. The Coun-
cil told him they would look into the problem and do
something as soon as they could.
Bill Bozman,the City Auditor, met with the Council in
reference to a financial statement. Mr. Bozman ex-
plained the monthly statement to the satisfaction of
the Council.
The monthly bills were read and approved. A motion
was made by J. R. Storey and seconded by Pat Onstot
to pay all bills . The motion carried,.
A proposed Mobil Housing Project is to be built at the
Wylie Butane Gas Company and has met with the regula-
tions of the Toning Ordinance.
With no further business, a motion was made by Jack Bostic
and seconded by Pat Onstot to adjourn. The motion carried.
