OCTOBER 16, 1962
The City Council met in special session October 16,
1962 with all members present. The meeting was in
reference to a petition to annex the Caldwell Estates
to the City of Wylie. The meeting was called to
order by Mayor Hall. The Mayor read a letter from
Mr. Chalkley giving the metes and bounds of the Cald-
well property. After our Engineers approval the track
of land was annexed to the City of Wylie on a motion
made by J. R. Storey and seconded by Carl Ward. The
motion carried unanimously.
Annexing Ordinance #62-15.
Upon request of the Council the Mancger was ask to
investigate the possibility of using the Russell
Addington farm for a garbage area. The manager re-
ported it would not be feasiblis to construct approx-
irnatly 1800 feet of all weather road to the proposed
site at this time. It was suggested a more direct
route might be obtained from the owner which would
reduce the total distance to about 800 feet and ask
that the owner of the land he contacted and see if
a lease could be obtained.
The Manager reported all provisions to reconstruct
Stone Street with the exceptions of the starting date.
The manager will have to obtain a starting date as
soon as possible and notify the Council members.
