The City Council - et May 14, 1963 at r : 00 PM w ' th all aerebers preeent,

The meeting was celled to order by Mayor hell . The minutes of te last
regular meeting; of April 9th id also tee two special meetings of April
17th and April 22,16 were re a ] and approved.

NTMWD. They will meet May t e lt)th at 7 : 30 at NTMWD. They expect 60 or

A letter was re- 1 by te Mayor t'rem NTEWD in reference to the maintenance
o t'ee 14" water main iron where it enters the City limits, on P notion
made by C. T . Shields and seconded by Jack Parker, the City would e- uee

A letter "vas read by Mayor h, 11 from Arlington State College in reference
to sending our water men to the Annual 4ater 'lid. Sewerage short school
on Jlee 4,5 6: 6th 3963. Motion was made by C. T. Shields and seconded
by Carl Yard that tee City pay the expenses for it. A. eller end Jessie

Mayor Hall re'- c letter of resignation from Chief Gaylor, effective
June 8, 1963. Motion was made by Carl ' ere and eeconl leL C. T. Shields
te accept his reeignetion. Motion carried.
Leon ' resident of the Wylie School Board met with the Council in
reference to sewer line to the New School . Tney ask the City to peed one
half of the manhole on Bineingher and Kirby, at t e cost of 1,217 .15. The
City decided that the School sin')01d accept the bill as rendered.
The Council deolei:=0 to breek out a drive way for Mrs GfLson or pay her the
amount it would cost en a ntioe eade by Jack Parker end seconded by Pat

The Co incil ask Mr. Lee, City Diereger to contact Garland and invest/ nate
the cost o dog maintance in Garland weite en article for the paper.
In reference to the Shiiloh Baptist Church proerty for sale, Lie Council

Extra help in the Police Dept. was tabled until a late - date .

Bills were approved to be paid on a mot _ ,/. made by Carl viard and
seconded by Taylor Hickman. notion carried.
Bob Hogan and Dick Stewart, Engineers for. henningson, Durham and
Richardson met with the Council in reference to a question on grades
established for the pavtng on Marble Street between Jackson and
Ballard, Mr. Hogan explained that the grade WRS set to conform
with the abutting futtre paving grades on Jackson Street.
