08-05-1963 (City Council) Minutes A MINUTES/SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 5, 1963 The City Council met in special session August 5, 1963 at 7:00 PM, with Council members Jack Parker, C. T. Shields and Carl Ward present. Pat Onstot and Taylor Hickman absent. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. Mr.NEwell with the Texas Power and Light Co. met with the Council to ask a decrease in the rates of the Texas Power and Light Company. A letter was read by Mayor Hall from John Gay, City Attorney, which advised that the decrease was favorable. Motion was made by C. T. Shields and second by Jack Parker to accept the Texas Power and Lights estimated 22% reduction. Motion carried. Mr. NEwell ask the City for an ammendment to street rental agreement authorizing Texas Power and Light to pay an additional 2% on all revenue derived from Industrial and Municipal billings. Texas Power and Light paid the City $282.68 as rentals on Mun- icipal and Industrial revenue within the Corporate limits of the City of Wylie. This payment brings all rentals up to date. The next payment to be made June 24, 1964, councurrently with the regular payment covering residential and commercial revenues. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM. Mayor City Secretary �.m.w
