COUNCIL METING
January 14, 1964
The City Council met in regular session January 14, 1964 with all mem-
bers present: Mayor Hall, Jack uvhitt, City Atty. John Gay, Oneida
Gallagher, Jack Parker, Pat Onstot, Carl Ward, C. T. Shields and
Taylor Hickman.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hall.
Theminutes of the last regular meeting of December 10, 1963 were
and approved as read.
Mr. John Pelton and Joe Coomer met with the Council in regards to their
City Taxes . The Council told Mr. Pelton they would like: to measure his
house for error. They told Mr. Coomer the lots were all assessed on a
front foot basis . The Ellenburg Bros . met to ask about a new sewer line
to their property North East of town. The Council said they would call
our Engineers to meet with the Ellenburg Bros .
Bills for the month were read and approved to be paid on a motion made by
Carl Ward and second by Jack Parker. Motion carried.
On a motion made by Taylor Hickman and second by Pat Onstot, that checks
be written to retire the notes, principal and interest at the First State
Bank of Wylie, in the amount of 04,160.00 water and sewage and ?5,561.59
General Fund, and also for the General Fund to loan Water and Sewage Fund
Q2,000.00 to be paid in 60 days . Motion carried. Pat Onstot, Jack Parker--
C. T. Shields and Taylor Hickman voted yes . Carl Ward abstaining.
Motion was made by Jack Parker and second by Pat Onstot to pay the
monthly bills as they came due. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Jack Parker and second by Pat Onstot to raise the
garbage fee from .75X to 0...25 per month in residential area and pick-
up twice each week. Business area raised from 02.00 to 03.50 per month
and be picked up 5 days each week, Monday thru Friday. Motion carried.
Carl Ward voted against the garbage raise.
Motion was made by C. T. Shields and second by Taylor Hickman that all
trash burning within the City limits be prohibited except in State ap-
proved incinerators . Motion carried. Carl Ward voted o.
Motion was made by C. T. Shields and second by Pat 0 stot to adjourn
at 10:30. Meeting adjourned. i
