RESOLUTION AND ORDER FOR CITY BOND ELECTION

COUNTY OF COLLIN 0
ON THIS, the 22nd day of June, 1964, the City Council of the City of
Wylie, Texas, convened in special session at the regular meeting place
thereof with the following members present, to-wit:

and with the following absent none constituting a quorum; and among other
proceedings had were the following:
Mayor Hampton introduced a resolution and order. Alderman Ward
moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Alderman Onstot. The
motion, carrying with it the adoption of the resulution and order, pre-
-- veiled by the following vote:.
Ayes: Aldermen Onstot, Ward, Hickman, Shields and St. John.
Noes : None.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas, deems it
advisable to issue the bonds of said City for the purpose hereinafter
mentioned; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED A-D ORD= BY T E CITY COUNCIL TIE CITY OF
':vYLIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That an election be held on the lOth day of July, 1964
which date is not less than fifteen (15) nor more than thirty (30) days
from the date of the adoption of this resolution and order, at which
election the following proposition shall be submitted to the resident
qualified electors of said City, who own taxable property therein, and
who have duly rendered the same for taxation:
" SHALL the City Council of the City of Wylie, Texas, be
authorized to issue FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS (650,000) general ob-
ligation bonds of said City for the purpose of constructing street
improvement in and for said City; said bonds to mature serially over
a period of years not to exceed THIRTY ( 30) -rears from their date,
and to bear interest at a rate not to exceed FOUR AND 01\--E*HALF PER
CENTUM (4-1/2%) per annum, payable annually or semi-annully; and to
provide for the payment of principal of and interest on said bonds
by levying a tax sufficient to pay the annual interest and to create
a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds as they become due?"
7 2 SECTION 2: That said election shall be held at the CENTRAL FIRE STATION
in the CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS, and the entire City shall consitute one
election precinct.
SECTION 3: That the following named persons are hereby appointed
officers of the election, to-wit

A. L. Whorton Judge
Mrs . Emma Addington Clerk
Mrs . Virginia Bostic Clerk
SECTION 4-r That said election shall be held under the provisions of
and in accordance with the laws governing the issuance of municipal bonds
in cities, as provided in the General Laws of the State of Texas, and only
resident qualified electors, who own taxable property in the City, and who
have duly rendered the same for taxation, shall be qualified to vote.
SECTION 5: That the ballots for said election shall be prepared in
sufficient number and in conformity with Chapter 6, V.A.T.C .S . Election
Code, as amended, and that printed on such ballots shall appear the
following:
" FOR THE ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVE= BONDS
AND THE LEVY OF A TAX IN PAYIENT THEREOF"
" AGAINST THE ISUANC: OF STREET IMPROVEMENT
BONDS AND THE LEVY OF A TAX IN PAYHENT THEREOF"
ABSENTEE VOTING shall be conducted at the City Secretaryls Office in
the City Hall, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 424, Acts of the
58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963.
SECTION 6: That a copy of this resolution and order signed by the
Mayor of the City and attested by the City Secretary, at the top of which
shall appear the words "NOTICE OF ELECTION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS," shall
serve as proper notice of said election. Said notice shall be posted at
three public places in snid City, one of which shall be at the City Hall,
not less than fourteen (14 ) full days prior to the date on which said
election is to be held, and bc published on the same day in each of two
successive weeks in a newspaner of general circulation in the City of
Texas, published in the City of Wylie, the first of such publica-
tions to be wade not less than fourteen (14) full days prior to the date
set for the said election.
PASSE-) AND APPROVED, this the 22nd day of June, 1964
Motion was made by C. T. Shields and seconded by J. T. Hickman to
authorize First Southwest Company of Dallas, to handle the bonds for the
City of Wylie, Texas, with Er. Frank Tedanich as their Authorized Representa-
tive. Unanamous Ayes.
