Shields , Councilman Carl Ward , Councilman 74 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING July 20, 1964 The City Council-met in Special Session July 20, 1964, for the111 purpose of Canvassing the Vote for the $50„000.00 General Obligation Bond held July 18, 1964 and the Introduction and Consideration of the Resolution Canvassing returns and declaring results of Street Bond Election. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hampton. Those present were Mayor Hampton. Councilmen:: St. John, Hickman and Onstot. Absent Carl B. Ward and C. T. Shields . City Administrator Jack Whitt and City Secretary Oneida Gallagher present. The returns that with respect to the proposition for the issuance of $50,000.00 Street improvement bonds 148 votes were cast "FOR THE ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS AND THE LEVY OF A TAX IN PAYMENT THEREOF" and 146 votes were cast " AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF STREET .IMPROVEMENT B0NES AND THE LEVY OF A TAX IN PAYMENT THEREOF"; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS. The resolution having been read in full, it was moved by Alderman Onstot and seconded by Alderman St. John that the same be passed and adopted. Thereupon, the Mayor put the m otion to a vote of the members of the City Council, and the following members voted "Aye'! Alderman Onstot, Hickman and St. John; and none voted " NO"'. The mayor delered the motion carried and the resolution adopted. PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 20th day of July, 1964. Motion was made by Alderman St. John and seconded by Alderman Onstot to adjourn at 730 P M. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned. May r Oneida Gallagher
