March 8, 1966
The City Council net in regular session at 7; 00 PM. March 8, 1966.
Present: Mayor Hampton. Aldermen: Onstot, S _ields and Wingfield,
with St . John and Posey absent. City Atty . John Gay, City Adm. Jack
Whitt and City Secretary, Oneida Gallagher.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hampton. The minutes of the
last regular meeting of February i, 1966 were read an , approved as
read on a motion by Councilman Onstot and seconded by Councilman
Shields . Motion carried.
7.T. W. Barker and Ed Collins met with Council in reference to S . 4th
Street from Butler to Park Lane. Motion by Councilman Winfield and
seconded by Councilman Onstot for the City to spend u, to W_,406.00
on S 4th Street to compensate the property owners for their prior
expenditures . Unanimous Ayes .
Monthly bills were read and approved to be paid on a notion by Council-
man Shields and seconded by Councilman Mingfield. Motion carried.
Ma7or Hampton turned the meeting over to Mayor Pro-Tern Onstot to cer-
tify candidates for Election on April th 1966 to elect on Mayor and
two Aldermen. On question if they had lived in State for one year,
they all oualified. On a notion by Councilman Shields and seconded by
_ Councilman ',Ingfield, places en the ballot were drawn for Aldermen.

Motion by Councilman Onstot and seconded by Councilman Shields to !Jay
Darr Equipment Company 0,000.00 for Motor Grader. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn by Councilman Shields and , econded by Councilman
