Regular Council heeting
April 12, 1966
The City Council net in regular session April 12, 1966, at 7:30 P. E.
Present: Mayor hampton. Councilmen: Onstot, St. John, Wingfield Posey
and Shields . City Atty. John Gay. City Adm. Jack Whitt and City
Secretory 7)neida Gallagher.
The meeting was called to order by Laney' hampton. The minutes of the
lost regular meeting of March 8, 1966 were read an , approved as read
on a motion by Councilman Onstot and seconded by Councilman Posey.
Motion carried.
The Election Cvass was held. Councilman Shields introduced a re-
solution and order and moved its adoption. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Wingfield arid the motion carrying with it the adchption
of the resolution and order prevailed by the following votes, Ayes,
All present voting for, Noes, None.
The Resolution is as follows:
There came on to be considered the returns of an election held on the
5th day of April, 1966, for the purpose of electing the hereinafter
named officials, and its appearing from said returns duly and legally
made, that there were cast at said election 102 valid and legal votes,
that each of the Candidates in said election received the following
votes :

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY T, E CITY COUCIL OF T E CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
That said election was duly called; thatnotice of said election was
given in accordance with the law, and that O. F. Haompton was duly elected
Mayor of said City at said election. That harry F. Tibbals Jr. and
Melvin Douthitt were duly elected Aldermen of said City at said election
and said above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said
respective office, subject to the taking of their Oaths and filing Bond
as provided by the laws of the State of Texas.
PASSED, ADOPTED A - APPROVED this the 14h day of April 1966.
