02-13-1968 (City Council) Minutes 1-4 41 REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING February 13,1968 The City Council met in regular session February 134 1968 at 7:00 PM. -- Those present; Mayor Hampton; Aldermen: Douthitt, Maud, Elledge andMartin. City Atty. John Gay, City Manager, Jack Whitt and City Secy. 0. Gallagher. The Meeting was called to order and minutes of Special Meeting of January 16, 1968 were approved as read on a motion by Alderman Martin and seconded by Alderman Mauk. Motion carried. Monthly bills were read and discussed and ordered to be paid on motion by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by Alderman Elledge. Motion carried. Re- April Election, Motion by Alderman Martin and seconded by Alderman Mauk for Mayor Hampton t ' call an Election to elect one (1) Mayor and two (2) Aldermen, Saturday Abri1 6, 1968. On the motion Unanimous Ayes. Election Judge to be A. D. Boyd with T. S. Beene Alternate Judge with four (I}) Clerks to be appointed by the Judge. Motion by Alderman Elledge and seconded Alderman Douthitt to lease 1.31 . acres from A. D. Boyd for the sum of $100.00 for a term or one year. This lease may be cancelled by either party upon two (2) weeks notice in writing. Unanimous Ayes. ORDINANCE NO. 68. An Ordinance regulating Garbage disposal by non-commercial users and by non-residents of the City of Wylie, Texas, requiring a permit for the use of the City of Wylie Sanitary Land Fill by non-residents, the est- ablishment 'w of an office of sanitary land fill Caretaker, providing for a penalty, and declaring an emergency. On the motion by Alderman Mauk and seconded by Alderman Douthitt, Unanimous Ayes. There were four ( .) bids on a new 1968 Pick-Up Truck. Cox Chevrolet McKinney, Texas $1698.88 Royal Fisher 1703.35 G. M. C. Newman Chevrolet Garland, Texas 173445 3? On a motion by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by Alderman Martin the Council accepted the low bid and awarded the bid to Cox Chevrolet, McKinney, Texas.
