REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
March 12, 1968
The City Council met in regular session March 12, 1968, at 7:DO P. M.
Present: Mayor Hampton, Aldermen: Tibbals, Douthitt, Martin and Mauk,
City Atty. John Gay, City Manager Jack Whitt and City Secy. Oneida
Gallagher.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hampton. Minutes of the last
regular meeting of February 13, 1968 were read and approved as read on a
motion by Alderman Elledge and seconded by Alderman Douthitt. Motion
Carried.
Mayor Hampton certified the candidates for Mayor and Aldermen. On ques-
tion if allhad lived in State for one year and City for six Months. All
qualified. On Motion by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by Alderman
Mauk places on the Ballot were drawn by two(2) candidates for Mayor
and four (4) for Aldermen. Unanimous Ayes.

Mr. Cole with General Telephone Company met with Council to discuss New
System that would tie Wylie in direct dialing to Plano, Texas on March
24, 1968,E
Bills were read and discussed and ordered to be paid on Motion by
Alderman Douthitt and seconded by Alderman Elledge. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn at 10:00 P. M. by Alderman Mauk and seconded by
Alderman Douthitt. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
