REGULAR CJi COUNCIL MEETING
April 9, 1968

The City Council met in regular session April 9, 1 968, at 700 P. M.
Present: Mayor Hampton, Aldermen: Tibbals, Elledge, Martin, and Mauk,
City Atty. John Gay, City Manager Jack Whitt and City Secy. Oneida Gallagher.
With Alderman Douthitt absent.
The meeting was called to order and the minutes of the last regular meeting
of March 12, 1968 were read and approved as read on a motion by Alderman
Martin and seconded by Alderman Elledge. Motion carried.
The City Election Canvass was held. There came on to be considered the re-
turns of the election held on April 6, 1968 for the purpose of electing the
hereinto named officials and its appearing from said returns duly and legally
made, that there were cast at said election 492 valid and legal votes, that
each of the Candidates in said election received the following votes:

C. T. Shields 225 Bill Cline 254 Harry F. Tibbals, Jr. 308
R. J. Hall 262 R. R. Kreymer 164 Melvin Douthitt 227
Alderman Elledge introduced a Resolution and Order and moved its adoption.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Mauk and carrying with it the adoption
of the Resolution and Order prevailed by the following votes: "AYE" Alderman;
Mauk, Martin, Tibbals and Elledge; and None voted "NO'.
Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS
That said election was duly called; that notice, of said election was given
in accordance with the law, and that R. J. Hall was duly elected as Mayor of
the City of Wylie, Texas and Harry F. Tibbals, Jr. and Bill Cline were duly
elected Aldermen for said City at said election and above named parties are
hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject to the tak-
ing of their Oaths and filing Bond as provided by the laws of the State of
Texas.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS THE 9th day of April 1968.
Bills were read and approved to be paid on a motion by Alderman Mauk and
seconded by Alderman Tibbals. Unanimous Ayes.
Mr. L. W. Clark met with Council in reference to parking a house trailer
on his property to protect his property from theft. Council advised Mr.
Clark to go to the Zoning Board for further information.
Jack Mote met with Council in reference to City Judge. Mr. Mote would like
to resign from his Judgeship as his term is expiring. Mr. Mote Consented '
to stay until Council could find some one to replace him.
C. Truett Smith and R. V. Groves ask City Council's approval to Sub-divide
their property within 5 miles North of Wylie's City Limits.
Motion to approve Plat as present, by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by
Alderman Mauk. Unanimous Ayes.

treated water lines from North Texas Municipal Water District. In addition
a meeting was held with the following in attendance to discuss the problems

Mr. Royland Boyd, Atty, Gen. Council for NTMWD
Mr. Bill London, Forrest & Cotton Engineers for NTMWD

Mr. C. Truett Smith, Wylie Director for NTMWD
Mr. H. T. Tibbals, Jr. Mayor Pro-Tem. Alderman , City of Wylie
Mr. Jack H. Whitt, City Manager, City of Wylie.
After a short discussion, r'orrest and Cotton Representative Engineer to
work out solution possibly by capping lines if approval can be gained from
Texas Highway Department. City Manager to be informed of future develop-
ments and will so inform the City (%ouncil from time to time, with the assist-
ance of Wylie Director..
Mayor Hampton has called a Special Council Meeting for the purpose of Giv-
ing the Oath of Office to the newly elected Mayor R. J. Hall and New
Aldermen, Harry F. Tibbals, Jr and Bill Cline, on Monday April 15, 1968,
at 700 P. M. a
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by Alderman Martin.
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING
April 9, 1968
The City Council met in regular session April 9, 1968 at 7:p00 P. M.
Present: Mayor -0. W. Hampton; Aldermen: Tibbals, Elledge, Martin and
Mauk; City Atty. John Gay, City Mge. Jack H. Whitt and City Secretary
Oneida Gallagher. With Alderman Douthitt absent.
The minutes of the last regular meeting of March 12, 1968, were read -
and approved as road on a motion by Alderman Martin and seconded by
Alderman Elledge. - Motion carried.
The City Election Canvass was held. There came on to be considered the
