12-10-1968 (City Council) Minutes 16 4 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
December 10, 1968
The City Council met in regular session December 10, 1968 at 7:00 PM.
Present: Mayor Hall, Councilmen Cline , Elledge, Mauk, Tibbals and
Martin. City Atty. John Gay, City Manager Jack H. Whitt and City
Secy. Oneida Gallagher.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor hall. Reading of minutes of last
regular meeting of October 8, 1968 were read and approved as read on
motion by Ald. Mauk and seconded by Aid. Tibbals. Motion carried.
There was no Council leeting in November, as all Councilmen were at-
tending a Municipal League Meeting in Dallas .
Mrs . Jim Nichols, Mrs . Dick Sewell and Mr. J. D. Chaney School Supt.
met with Council ln reference to a City Public Library. The Ordinance
was read by Mr. Chaney and discussed. Motion by Ald. Elledge and sec-
onded by Ald. Tibbals to take the Library in consideration and act at
next Regular Council meeting. Unanimous Ayes .
Bills were read and approved to be paid on motion by Alderman Mauk and
seconded by Alderman Cline . Motion carried.
City Manager Jack H. Whitt gave a report of expenditures and work of
Municipal Employees .
Motion by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by Alderman Martin to pay
all Municipal Employees a Xmas Bonus that has worked for City one
year or more one weeks pay and all less than one year one half week
pay. Unanimous Ayes.
Motion to adjourn at 9:30 PM by Alderman Mauk and seconded by Alder-
man Tibbals . Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
