SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
June 16, 1969
The City Council met in Special Session June 16, 1969 at 7:00 PM
to discuss the effective date of City Manager sack H. Whittts leave
and other matters.
Present: Mayor Hall; Aldermen, Mauk, Martin, Thomas, Tibbals and
Addicks; City Manager Jack H. Whitt, City Water Supt. W. A. Allen
and City Secy. Oneida Gallagher.
Mr. Gene Chambers met with Council in reference to finishing
Streets in City of Wylie. He told 6ouncil he would start rocking
Birmingham Street, Tuesday June 17, 1969.
Sewer line for Jack Parker was discussed. The Council ask that a
letter be written to Mr. Parker and also Mr. George Pendergrass to
invite them to the next regular Council meeting of July 8, 1969
to discuss the problem; Motion by Alderman Tibbals and seconded
by Alderman Addicks. Unanimous Ayes.
The Council discussed the resignation of City Manager Jack H. .Whitt.
They ask for an effective date of his lieave and he told Council
he would stay until June 30, 1969. On the question motion was made
by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Addioks . Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by Alderman
Mauk. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
