SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
July 12, 1969
..,.` The City Council met in a call session with following members present:
ulayor Hall, Councilmen; Tibbals, Mauk, Martin, Thomas and Addicks. The
meeting was called for the purpose of interviewing Mr. Jimmy Mathis,
for position of City Manager, after a lenghty discussion with
Mathis the Council on motion by Councilman Martin and seconded by
Councilman Thomas the the City Council accept Mr. Mathis application.
All members voted AYE.
Mr. Mathis salary was set at $750.00 per month. The Council also
agreed to pay up to $300.00 on moving charges and all above will be
paid by Mr. Mathis.
The Council agreed to furnish Mr. Mathis the old Police Car.
Mr. Mathis will assume duties on July 28, 1969 or August 1, 1969 .

August 5, 1969
The City Council met in special session August 5, 1969 at 7:30 PM.
Present: Mayor Hall; Aldermen Thomas, Addicks,and Muuk. Alderman
Tibbals Absent. Present City Manager Jimmy Mathis.
The vacancies in the Police Department were discussed and it was
decided for Chief Hatfield to proceed immediatly in filling these
positions.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
