SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
October 20, 1969
The City Council met in special session October 20, 1969 at 7:30 PM.
for the purpose of hiring a City Municipal Judge.
Present Mayor Hall; Aldermen; Tibbals, Thomas, Addicks,, Martin and
Mauk; City Manager Jimmy Mathis; Water Supt. W. A. Allen.
Robert Taylor met with Council in reference to his employment as
Municipal Court Judge. Mr. Taylor stated he would be available
to serve at all hours.
On Motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas
for Robert Taylor as City Judge; All for and none against to
serve the unexpired term of office.
Motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Martin to
hold Court in City Hall and all Officers will be present at Court
hearings. The Motion -carried. Judge salary to be $100.00 per
Month, All voted for. --
Motion by Alderman Tibbals and seconded by Alderman Thomas to bring
all Court Records to City Hall. Motion carried.
Cost of purchasing a new street sweeper and erection of a metal
building for a City shop was discussed.
