SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
April 20, 1970
City Council met in special session April 20, 1970 at 7:30 PM. in ref.
to annexing Highway 544 1/2 mile South and Highway 78 South for 1/2
mile and to approve office sup lies for City Library.
Present: Mayor Hackler; Aldermen; Addicks, Martin, Mauk and Dodd with
Alderman Thomas absent. City Ma ager Mathis .
Motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Dodd to approve the
purchase of approximately $290.00 for office supplies requested by
Mrs . JaunitONichols for Library. Motion carried.
Public hearing was held on annexation of 1/2 mile of highway rightofway
South on highway 544 and 1/2 wile South on old highway 78. There were
no citizens p-esent for this hearing.
Notion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Martin to approve
Ordinance # 70-6. An Ordinance annexing the highway 1/2 mile in length
in a Southerly direction South on HWY 544. Motion carried.
Motion by Alderman Martin and seconded by Alderman Mauk to approve
Orcinance # 70-7. An Ordinance annexing the HWY rightofway 1/2 mile
in length in a Southerly direction South on Old HWY 78. All Ayes.
