JOINT MEETING
Minutes
Wylie City Council and WISD Joint Meeting
Tuesday, May 5, 2009 — 7:00 A.M.
Wylie Municipal Complex
2000 Hwy 78 North
Wylie, TX 75098
CALL TO ORDER
City Council members present were Council Member/Subcommittee Chair Kathy Spillyards;
Council Member Rick White; and Mayor Eric Hogue. WISD School Board Members present
were WISD Trustee/School Subcommittee Chair Ronni Fetzer; and WISD Trustee Stacie Gooch.
Also in attendance were City Manager Mindy Manson, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. John
Fuller.
PRESENTATIONS & DISCUSSION
1. Approval of the Minutes from January 13, 2009. (City Subcommittee Members
Only.)
Motion for approval made by Major Hogue, seconded by Councilman White. Approved
with no additions or corrections.
2. Discussion regarding current and planned shared events.
Discussion items included the joint development of a trail system, Special Olympics,
Asian flu preparedness and fall basketball tournament.

3. Presentation and Discussion by City of Wylie regarding the FY 2010 Budget.
The preliminary City of Wylie budget summary was distributed to the sub-committee
members. Revenue projections and long-range assumptions were discussed.
4. Schedule next subcommittee Meeting.
The subcommittee agreed that the next meeting would take place at the Wylie
Independent School District Education Service Center on August 18th at 7:00 a.m.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 a.m.
