May 12, 1970
The City Council met in regular session May 12, 1970 at 7: 30 PM. Present:
Mayor Hackler; Aldermen: lartin, Mauk, JJodd, Addicks and Thomas . City Atty. ^^
tob Baker, City Lgr. Mathis, eater Supt. Allen nd City Secy. Gallagher.
The meeting, was called to order by Mayor i1ackler. The minutes of the last
regular meeting of April 14, 1970 and also special rig etings of April 20, 1970,
April 24, 1970 and April 28, 1970 were real and approved as read on motion
Alderman Martin and seconded by Alderman mauk. Motion carried.
Attorney Hob Baker With Saner, Sallinger, Jack and Nichols discussed Delin-
quent City taxes and ways of collecting same and also Street Assessments .
Razor with llenningson, Durham. and Richardson met with Council to further
discuss Sewer Treatment Plant.
In reference to City Mail Delivery. lie Council ask an Ordinance be written
and Street Signs and Numbers be made for all Streets .
Bids on Cab-Chassis Truck for Sanitation Department were opened. Bids were
as follows:
Cleburn Chev. A3,366.18 Newman Chev. 3,646.00
Moore Chev. 3,736.51 Frendly Chev. 3,746.71
Cox Chev. 3,605.71 Doran Chev. 3,717.39
Motion by Alderman Dodd and seconded by Alderman Thomas to accept the bid
of Newman Chevrolet subject to mayor riackler borrowing * 4,3A.00 from the
First State Bank at Wylie, Unanimous Ayes .
Motion by Alderman l'lauk and seconded by Alderman 'Thomas to pass a Resolut-
ion # R 70-1 on Mutual Aid for law enforcement with Area Cities.
Unanimous Ayes .
C. Truett Smith ask to be relieved of his appointment on the Planning nd
Zoning Board.
Motion by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Martin to charge a
Minimum of $5.00 for mowing on private rroperty or $5.00 per hr. All Ayes.
Jack Ross and Agaess Eaves met with Council to discuss South First Street,
No decision was made at this time.
Monthly bills were read and approved to be paid on motion by Alderman Mauk
and seconded by Alderman Thomas . ipotion carried.
Mayor Hackler called a Special Council meeting on Monday, ik ay 18, 1970 at
7:30 PM to review Municipal Employees salaries and also talk on the Pre-
liminary Plans for the Sewer Syatem for the City of Wylie.
Motion to adjourn at 10:30 PM by Alderman auk and seconded by Alderman
