SPECIAL COUNCIL rEETING
May 18, 1970
The City Council met in special session May 18, 1970 at 7:30 PM. This
n eting w^s called for the purpose of discussing salary and wage scale
for City Employees and futher discuss Sewer Improvement rrogram.
Present ; l' ayor "ackler; Aldermen; Dodd, Thomas, Addicks, - artin and
Mauk. City manager Mathis and .rater S::pt. . H. Allen.
Motion was made by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Mauk to
allow the following personel a 10/ per hour wage increase plus $5.00
per week if they work 40 hours of each week, any absence whether
excused of not will disqualify this person for this 85.00 bonus for
the week in which the absence occurs and the City of Wylie shall begin
to supply work clothes to these perso el . All of these benefits to
become effective on the first pay period in June .
James Houaewright from 63.17 to $3.27 per hour.
Joe Schiefer from 62.47 to $2.57 per hour.
General Boles from $1 .87 to $1.97 pea hour.
John Lonaldson from $1.87 to S1.97 per hour.
James Rector from $2.14 to 8.224 per hour.
W. A. Allen to receive the doting benefit only.
The Police Department Personnel to receive the following benefits:
Patrolmen shall have a starting salary of $450.00 per month and shall
be raised to 8,500.00 per month when they become Certified Officers .
This benefit to become effective the first pay period in June.

The Sewer Improvement Program was discussed at length but no decission
was made.
